Thank you for stopping and taking the time to get to know me a little bit more. :)
I was saved in November of 2002 and was finally baptized on my birthday in 2003. I was raised in a wonderful and loving and disciplined home. As a child I remember attending Sunday school once in a while but nothing on a regular basis. Throughout my elementary school and high school years, I was never exposed to anything about God and that continued on into my young adulthood. It would not be until I had met my future husband that I would come to find out more about God and the significance that would have on my life.
Having lived a life full of sin, the Lord finally captured me and brought me into His fold. My life is so blessed now as I know I have Jesus interceding on my behalf each day. I don't deserve the mercies that are extended me and it is all I can do to strive to live as a Godly example of his creation.
Coming to the Lord so late in life has had a major impact...it was the wake-up call that I think most in our society need and that includes other Christians.... not having grown up in the church and not getting saved until later in life...I knew the moment the Lord really started that sanctification process...there was no option....the Holy Spirit is in me and making these changes.... Can you picture yourself on a pitch black night walking in a tunnel and all of a sudden you see the huge bright light at the other end of the oncoming train... it is startling, it is coming for you, and it is going to make your life radically different. (ok so no one died!!!)...Well....actually, my old self died and my new self is living for Christ!!!
I saw with such clarity though the task before me, we had our first child and here I was to be put in charge of leading her to God....and yet I barely knew the Lord myself and I wasn't getting any younger, time was running out......I do not take the bible lightly...it is serious, it is my guidebook, it is the rule of my house.
My husband and I have been married for nine years and we have five living children. Prior to being married and saved, I hired someone to murder two of my children. There is no delicate way to say this...it is a part of who I am...sure I listened to all the reasons as to why I should do it...how my life would be better off, no one would ever marry me...you won't have a career...blah blah blah....But the fact remains that is what abortion is. It is something I will live with forever and will have to deal with God's punishment once I get to that side...not something I look forward to....I could just sit hear and cry for hours thinking about the awful thing I have done and think with fear about what God will do and say to me one day....sigh....oh to only have those years back again and to make them right. (I think I need to add this part here because I think it does not come across right...I do believe deeply that I have been forgiven, I know that I have been....when I say that I do not look forward to facing God....everyone one of us should not look forward to facing him because everyone of us sin each and every day, and every one of us make choices everyday that go against his word...knowing that even if it was just a case of lying or not being as loving a mom as I should have been, or if it was just a matter of not teaching the word of God enough....I still would not look forward to the judgement to come.....he will have something to say....However, I do know that I am doing my best and I look forward to the last words being ...well done thy good and faithful servant) don't we all have regrets....and wish we could change something from our past or present...yep
Praise God, I have a God who sent his son to die for my despicable sins, knowing what would take place. I see the mercy of my God each day as I look upon my 5 living children. My second pregnancy, was a set of twins...sadly we lost one early on, I was able to hold the sac, but I did not know whether it was a boy or a girl. 2007 I went through 3 miscarriages and was finally pregnant again only to have our son stillborn....Corban's journey is on one of the other Tabs (Currently being moved here from my old blog).... after Corban was born, I went through another 3 miscarriages. It was during this time that we diagnosed that I had MTHFR....you can do a search for that but the short part...I have a gene mutation which blocks the blood from passing through to the placenta and will end up killing the babies....What a miracle the Lord has done in my life to give me these 5 healthy children...when I am so undeserving!!
I do believe in letting the Lord plan the size of your family, I have submitted my body to his will and await to see if we will be blessed again. I have had all my births with a midwife...the first three were born underwater and three others were born in the air...not literally in the air...but on a bed...lol...my last birth, was met with a severe hemorrhage that was unexpected and as close to being fatal as you can get without dying, however, once again, the Lord was with me!
We homeschool using the Rod and Staff curriculum. My oldest is in the 4th grade and this March of 2011 we will be doing first grade with my two oldest son's.
I am a conservative Christian, and I follow the bible...I believe it's words are relevant for today as they were yesterday and for tomorrow. I practice dressing modestly, and for me, that means skirts and dresses...99.99% of the time...if I could find a good feminine nightgown, I would ware a dress to bed! I kind of don't like the term Conservative...afterall, I am the one following the bible and not loving the world, I am the one that is putting all my efforts into studying His word....so why is that considered conservative....
Well simply because we live in a society where there are many "Christians"....but many of those Christians think that just believing in God is enough... Well, its enough to get saved and go to Heaven....but you are still lost/carnal, if you are seeking the pleasures of this world....the movies, the music, the magazines, the books...etc... It's all spelled out there in the bible....and yet there are many that just turn and look the other way and feel that they are doing enough by warming the pew on Sunday if that....so I am stuck being the Conservative one.... the one that walks and talks.....I am not saying I am perfect...I fail miserably each day, but my heart is turned towards Jesus like a magnet, there is no separating.
I head-cover as well, another area that kind of stands me apart....its not a salvation issue but it is something I believe ought to be done and I do have my husbands blessing in this.
My husband and I are not on the same page, I am not speaking bad of him by saying this...he is saved and is one that is very much of the world...My prayers and those of my Pastor are for the Lord to turn his heart towards Jesus...it is sad, sometimes very hard....hard to explain to children....but the Lord is gracious and this too will be the Lord's victory one day.
I really enjoy cooking and baking, I like to sew, crochet, cross-stitch and garden....however as with all these life enjoyments, they are done when time allots...ok, well the last ones not the first two...lol....my season of life right now is preparing my children for their journey with the Lord and with our society
So now you have a little more insight as to who I am, it is not my intention to offend any, and if I have, I apologize, but there is no hiding who I am...forgiveness was given to me and I readily extend it to others.
God Bless~~

You have a beautiful family! I want to encourage you about your past transgressions, before you became a child of the King. Hebrews 10:17 tells us that our sins are remembered no more. And also in Hebrews 8:12 and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more...From the moment that the Holy Spirit came to live in your heart your transgressions were wiped clean. You are a new creature. I encourage you to read the book of Romans. You are free my Sister! Forgive yourself and let the Spirit lead you! Many blessings to you and your wonderful family. Congratulations on #6!
Thank you so much for your comment and thoughts. I do believe I am forgiven. I am free indeed and have forgiven myself... I do not have a burden in this area. More, it is just a make up of who I am today and makes me stronger in Christ because of it.
Thank you for your encouragement and Congratulations :-)
