I love this term Household Servants. I first heard about it from Cheryl at Copperswife. This term refers to those appliances that do work for you around your house. For instance, your dishwasher, your washer, your dryer...well while perusing Cheryl's blog one afternoon I saw a post on another type of servant, her laptop.
The article is well worth the read, and shares about how it is an efficient use of your time to put your housecleaning schedule on the computer....
Well that got me to thinking, and once the wheels start turning, the idea is bound to come to fruition....I dug out my Flylady schedule pages...which I had stored on my computer, but were not doing me any good in a file and started trying to figure out how to get the idea onto my Calendar.
I opted to use MS Office and utilize the Calendar feature provided there. I have the option to have events repeated, reminder notifications, task lists with check off buttons etc....
The problem I was having was trying to convert the zones to the right weeks and how much stuff did I put on each day....it was not quite as visually oriented as I would have liked.....Then God showed me another friend who posted today about a very similar issue.....Kathy was looking for another Housecleaning method other than Flylady......One of the commenters mentioned another site, Dandelion Seeds, which I thought was very helpful and gave me the visual that I needed to get things going.
I spent the first part of my day getting everything entered into the computer and I at least have a daily schedule that will take me through cleaning the whole house in a systematic order and I don't have to worry now about having any paper cluttering my counter or a bookshelf or anything....it is right here...
So thank you ladies for your inspiration and help in getting me on the right track in another area of my life!!
